    PLEASE READ: SHOW TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATING ARTISTS


    Registration for the 8th Annual Artist Home Studio Tour for 2024 opens April 1, 2024! This event is a self-guided tour of Strathcona County artists' working home studios which is free to the public. Artists will be able to show and sell any of their own artwork, framed or unframed, originals or prints, gather contact information for promotion, and distribute promotional material for their art and upcoming shows and events.

    Registration requirements as follows:

    • Eligibility for Art Society of Strathcona County (ASSC) Members opening their home studio: Members must have a current ASSC membership upon registration and be a resident of Strathcona County.
    • Eligibility for ASSC Members without a home studio in Strathcona County: Members wanting to share the studio space location of an ASSC Member within Strathcona County must also have a current ASSC membership. With a maximum of two registered ASSC Member artists located at each location, who have both paid their appropriate separate participation registration fees.
    • Eligibility for Non-ASSC Members opening their home studio: Non-Members must be resident of Strathcona County and can only have one artist set up at their location for the duration of the show.
    • Registration will ONLY be taken on-line at www.artstrathcona.com. Registration will be open April 1, 2024
    • Registration and payment must be received by April 30, 2024. THERE WILL BE NO LATE REGISTRATIONS OR LATE PAYMENT ALLOWED.
    • Cost of registration is $50 for ASSC members and $100 for non-members. Payment is due upon registration.
    • There are no refunds of registration unless this event is cancelled by the ASSC.
    • Artists MUST be present for the entire 2 days and should have artwork in progress for the public to observe.
    • ONLY those artists that have registered and paid their registration fees are permitted to display their art during the show dates. NO additional artists are permitted to join registered artists if they have not also registered and paid their fees. Not adhering to this may exclude involvement in following years.
    • ASSC members will be asked to display ASSC material for distribution, such as promotional materials of upcoming events, workshops and general ASSC information.
    • Artists must ensure that their homeowners insurance provides public liability coverage for this event


    PRIOR TO REGISTERING!

    • Home studios should have easy and safe access for the public & all art must be priced.
    • Registration deadline is April 30, 2024, no late registrations.


    Committee Commitment:

    • We will promote this event through local newspapers, various social media channels and on TV. ASSC website and email list, Facebook and Instagram pages, several websites, and distribute color posters and brochures (which includes an artist guide and map) to Edmonton and Strathcona County area businesses.
    • We will provide artists with a supply of printed guides and digital documents for their own marketing purposes.
    • We will provide each venue with at least 3 signs to guide visitors to your studio.


    How to register:

    1. Go to www.artstrathcona.com, click on Events, then choose Artist Home Studio Tour to register. Registration will open April 1, 2024, and closes April 30, 2024.
    2. Info needed for registration: confirmation of liability insurance, home address, social media and website handles (if applicable) and up to 6 .jpg images of your art, one head shot photo of yourself, and a 50-word artist statement. Your images should be eye catching, of good quality, cropped and be representative of your work. LABEL IMAGES: Last Name_First Name_Title. The public often selects the home studios to visit based on these photos – so chose carefully.
