 With Margret Klappstein

This course will outline some of the basic principles and elements of good art and compositional tools to make a better painting while creating your own masterpiece.

Margaret will be paying particular attention to creating a solid beginning. The initial block-in of compositional shapes can have an enormous effect on the progress of that painting; it can flow relatively smoothly or be a struggle all the way through.

Create better paintings: by learning some of the principles and elements that make a painting better.  In this class you will cover some of the abstract principles of design and methods used to achieve them such as line, color, visual perspective (linear, aerial, value and color) and apply them to your own paintings.

This workshop is open to all levels.  There will be plenty of one on one instruction with time for positive and encouraging conversation.
