The A.J. Ottewell Community Centre is home to the Art Society of Strathcona County and is primarily an arts centre, available for art events, shows, lessons and workshops and art related events. It is operated and maintained by the Society members on a voluntary basis.
To enable the Society to maintain the Centre in good order the facility is rented for outside events including meetings, business, functions, birthdays, anniversaries and weddings.
ABOUT THE VENUE
The main floor has 80 chairs and 22 rectangular tables, fridge, stove, microwave, coffee pots (no dishes) WIFI, and great parking.
Maximum occupancy is 80 people for events that require tables including buffet tables and head tables.
No amplified music, please as we are situated in a residential area.
RENTAL RATES (Effective January 1, 2018)
Daily = $450 per day, with $350 security deposit
Hourly = $60 per hour, with $150 security deposit
NOTE: The hourly rate has a minimum of 4 hours to a maximum of 6 hours, and is used for shorter functions or as preparation/clean-up hours for longer daily rentals.
Special rates
Available for groups affiliated with the arts and are reviewed on an annual basis
Daily = $195 per day, with $175 security deposit
Hourly = $35 per hour, with $100 security deposit
Please note that the Loft Gallery remains open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays from 12 to 4pm, and on special occasions.
