Artist Biography
I was born in Prince Edward Island but have lived in Alberta for most of my life. I have always been interested in expressing myself creatively in various mediums.
I am an avid gardener and several years ago I began to paint flowers in watercolour. I love the softness and flow of the colours.
Next I began exploring acrylics especially in a stylized manner.
My latest passion is alcohol inks. The vibrancy of the pigments and the unexpected flow of colours make this a very challenging but exciting medium.
In 2017 I won 1st place in the Intermediate category of the Celebrating Canadian Art 2017 (a National Juried Show) for my watercolour painting Blowin’ in the Wind.
In 2019 my alcohol Ink painting Secret Places was chosen for the Strathcona County Permanent Collection.
I show my work regularly at the ASSC and at many other venues including the Grey Nun’s, Glenrose, Cross Cancer and Mizericordia Hospital.
